1.Interpret and evaluate your results and write a conclusion statement that includes the following: Describe what you would do if you wanted to retest or further test your hypothesis. Evaluate the usefulness of the data your team collected. What changes would you make to your hypothesis and/or experimental design in the future, if any?
After we finished the experiment we hoped that we could have seen the results of the test after a full week. We also wished that we could have added water to our experiment instead of just soda and that we should have done the scientific number of three to make sure that the results were accurate. If we were to make the experiment go further we would use more of a variety of sodas and we would be more organized. For example of organization; the camera was out of battery, we didn't bring the tooth whiteness chart for the last day to get the most accurate results, a member didn't show up that day due to other plans, and we were originally planning to use 4 sodas(Sunkist, coca cola, sprite and mountain dew) instead of 3 sodas(Sunkist, coca cola and sprite). We predicted that the sprite will slightly tarnish the tooth by turning it a light yellow or off-white (3 or 4 on the white chart) and that the Sunkist will have a very similar result. We also predicted the the tooth in the coca cola would make a 7 or 8 on the whiteness chart at best. When we started all the teeth were a 2 on the chart. The results were incredible! The coca cola turned the #2 tooth into a #13, which wasn't even on the chart. The sprite had an opposite affect turning another tooth into a #1. The tooth in the Sunkist made half the tooth disappear and the tooth turned red. If we wanted to re-do our hypothesis' we would change the prediction of the Sunkist to be a brighter color but not a brighter color like white
